Our Story

For over 52 years, Calvary Christian Academy has proudly served families in the Western Maryland region, providing a Christ-centered education. Since receiving full accreditation from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) in 1995, and now holding dual accreditation with ACSI and the Middle States Association (MSA), CCA has remained committed to academic excellence through a qualified and dedicated staff. All full-time teachers hold educational degrees, with many possessing master’s degrees, and over 90% are certified through the high standards of ACSI.

From the earliest years in preschool, students are nurtured in a loving environment that introduces foundational skills in reading, math, and phonics through engaging, play-based activities that also cultivate essential Christian values such as integrity, responsibility, kindness, and sharing. In kindergarten and elementary grades, the curriculum expands to include science, spelling, social studies, creative writing, art, music, physical education, and Bible studies to provide a well-rounded education.

At the middle and high school levels, the focus sharpens on preparing students for college and life beyond with a comprehensive curriculum encompassing Bible, English and literature, social studies, science, foreign language, math, physical education, and fine arts. Students also benefit from vibrant athletic programs and extracurricular opportunities, including participation in ACSI competitions like art fairs, speech meets, and creative writing contests. Technology and hands-on science labs enhance learning, while athletic teams compete with other Christian and local schools in sports such as basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, and golf.

Beyond academics, Calvary Christian Academy is deeply committed to nurturing spiritual growth. Students are encouraged to develop a biblical worldview by integrating God’s truth into every subject and area of life. Our mission is to inspire each student to become a strong follower of Jesus Christ, equipped to stand firm through life’s challenges. CCA continues to prepare young people to impact their world for Christ with dedicated teachers, a supportive community, and a biblically grounded education,
